Jambette's role in helping children form emotional bonds
| Learning
Unstructured outdoor play is great for healthy emotional development. The child has more freedom to meet other children his own age and interact with them. The child is automatically exposed to his own emotions and those expressed by others.
Thus, simultaneously, two things are achieved: he forms emotional bonds and gains control over his emotions.
This lays the groundwork for the rest: self-esteem, values to uphold and psychological health !
Boys and girls do not always have the same play interests, but each finds fodder for emotional development. For example, in the MUEL multisport areas, boys compete at basketball or soccer, experiencing strong feelings of belonging to their team and enjoying the camaraderie. Success and great passes help build self-esteem. Defeat encourages emotional control and an appreciation of the game itself.
Girls like hanging out at the swings and telling stories in which they shine. Friendships emerge and confidence from the positive message conveyed by this experience builds self-worth.
Spring riders provide an opportunity for both boys and girls to place their trust in the person across from them, who must respect their play intensity threshold as they laugh uproariously and gleefully develop positive memories.
Children learn through play ! This is why Jambette develops and designs play equipment that promotes the child's emotional development. To learn more about how play contributes to every aspect of child development, download our Clever Little Guide to Getting Children Out to Play .
